Welcome! I’m Erin and together with my husband, Luke, we operate Green Willow Gardens in Lawrence, Michigan.

Creativity and entrepreneurship have always been a part of my life in one way or another. As a kid, I would make crafts and set up a booth in my basement forcing my family to buy my goods. In college, I pursued an education in interior design and worked for many years as a designer and visual merchandiser. I love seeing a project from start to finish and creating something beautiful along the way.

Our first garden was small and I grew just enough to create a few bouquets a week that I would share with neighbors and friends. It didn’t take long to become obsessed with the flowers, I began reading and researching about flower farms, and the benefits of local flowers. From that, Green Willow Gardens was born. I wanted to provide a local option to our community and share the unique blooms that we can grow (and that are much better quality than you’ll find at the grocery store). Each season we grow and learn what works and what doesn’t and enjoy the flowers along the way!

We’re a little different than most flower farmers as our property is mostly wooded and has very few flat areas. Flowers fit into the land where we can and we work with the slopes and stumps to create a unique flower-growing experience. We use regenerative farming practices and avoid the use of chemicals. Our goal is to garden with nature to keep our land healthy and happy.

Our hope is that our flowers will bring you joy either by giving or receiving them, that if you attend a workshop you enjoy a time-out from life and learn a new skill, and that you see beauty can bloom from the tiniest little seed!

The name Green Willow Gardens stems from the name of the street my mom grew up on, Green Willow Street. I love pink as my Grandma did and get a lot of my creativity from my mom, who was always creating in one way or another throughout our childhood and continues to now.
